Telangana RTC slashes Pushpak Airport bus fares, effective from October 7

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) announced on Tuesday, October 6 2026, that it will lower the fares of its Pushpak AC buses to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) by up to 40 percent, effective from October 7. The move follows a steep fare hike in June 2025 that left many commuters dissatisfied.

From the Miyapur crossroads, the fare will drop from ₹350 to ₹250, while passengers boarding at JNTU will see a reduction from ₹350 to ₹200. The price for the Shilparamam route will fall from ₹300 to ₹200, and the Gachibowli service will shift from ₹300 to ₹150.

Similar cuts apply to Pushpak buses departing from Lingampally, Alwyn X Road, Kondapur, Kothaguda, and Gachibowli. The Lingampally fare will be reduced from ₹300 to ₹200, and the Alwyn X Road rate will fall from ₹350 to ₹200. Kondapur passengers will pay ₹200 instead of ₹300, while those boarding at Kothaguda and Gachibowli will pay ₹150, down from ₹300.

Last year’s fare increase stemmed from internal deliberations at TGSRTC, where officials cited stagnant pricing and low occupancy rates as key factors affecting operational costs.
