Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, is scheduled to speak to students in Chennai on Saturday evening at Island Grounds, according to Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president Manickam Tagore.
Tagore said that between 10,000 and 20,000 students who registered and received a QR code will attend. The session will be interactive, covering issues such as the National Eligibility‑Cum‑Entrance Test, employment prospects, education for girls and women, and the Union government’s educational policy.
During the event, Gandhi will also meet Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at his residence.
Tagore commented on recent bypoll results, noting that the AIADMK support base could shift to the TVK due to the Chief Minister’s governance. He also criticized DMK leader M.K. Stalin’s repeated use of the word “betrayal” and welcomed the results as a victory for the TVK and its coalition government.
