On Saturday, a security vehicle carrying Quick Reaction Team personnel overturned while en route to a bus accident on the Jammu‑Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir, leaving eight jawans injured, officials said.
A passenger bus bound for Jammu collided with a hillside near Maroog after the driver lost control, causing at least 15 passengers to suffer minor injuries, officials reported.
After receiving the report, a QRT unit was dispatched from the District Police Lines in Ramban to assist in rescue operations. The vehicle overturned near Kela Morh at 9:15 a.m., according to authorities.
Five police officers and three CRPF jawans sustained injuries. All injured personnel were transported to a hospital for treatment, officials said.
