A Mahindra XEV 9S collided with the rear of a lorry carrying steel rods on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, 2026. The collision occurred at about 4 a.m. while the lorry was traveling from the ORR toward Gachibowli X‑Roads.
The driver of the XEV 9S was injured and taken to a hospital immediately. Three other cars were involved and sustained damage, and two additional persons were injured and transported to a private hospital in Hitec City by ORR personnel.
The impact was severe enough to propel one of the cars into the adjacent lane, where it struck moving vehicles. A chain of collisions followed, with three cars colliding one after another and leaving two badly damaged.
Police report that a total of four cars and the lorry were involved. Two of the three injured persons are in critical condition. Authorities are awaiting further details on the identities and conditions of the injured.
