Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak concluded the 11th edition of the India Food Expo-2026 in Lucknow on Sunday, highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s growing role as a centre for investment, innovation and industrial development. The three‑day event, organised by the Indian Industries Association, brought together stakeholders from across the state and beyond.
In a post on X in Hindi, Pathak described the closing ceremony as a platform for discussing progress in food processing, industry, investment, employment and entrepreneurship within Uttar Pradesh. He stated that the state is becoming a hub for new opportunities and that ongoing efforts aim to raise farmers’ incomes, create jobs for youth and give new momentum to the economy by promoting the food‑processing sector.
Organisers said the primary goal of the expo was to accelerate growth in food processing and allied industries, providing MSMEs with access to new technologies, investment and business opportunities by consolidating the entire farm‑to‑fork value chain on a single platform.
Despite rain and heat, about 20,000 visitors and entrepreneurs from eight states—including Delhi‑NCR, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand—attended the expo. Participants explored new technologies and products at stalls, placed substantial business orders and took part in technical sessions, the statement added.
