Members of the Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (AP JAC) appealed to the state government on Sunday, August 23, 2026, to resolve a series of long‑pending demands. Speaking at a press conference, AP JAC president A. Vidyasagar and secretary‑general K.S.S. Prasad listed the issues as the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) appointment, dearness allowance (DA) adjustments, surrender leave entitlements and the grievances of employees outsourced to the government.
The committee warned that a statewide stir could erupt if the demands remain unaddressed. AP JAC had previously submitted its demands to the government, and a group of ministers had met with JAC leaders, but Vidyasagar said no satisfactory response was received.
Both leaders urged the government to initiate immediate talks and consider the committee’s genuine demands. They announced that, should the government fail to respond, AP JAC will convene a state‑level meeting on September 5, during which an action plan to press the demands will be unveiled.
The committee also pressed for the appointment of the 12th Pay Revision Commission and sought interim relief measures for affected employees. Vidyasagar and Prasad reiterated their preference for an amicable resolution through dialogue, emphasizing that continued delay could exacerbate unrest among employees, teachers, workers and pensioners affiliated with AP JAC.
