On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet approved a proposal to rename the Noida International Airport at Jewar as ‘Narendra Modi International Airport, Noida-Jewar’, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said during a briefing in Lucknow.
Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the airport, calling it a major gift to Uttar Pradesh and noting that the council of ministers had formally expressed gratitude for the gift.
He added that the renamed airport is expected to become Uttar Pradesh’s largest airport and a major aviation hub in the country.
