In a move to empower small businesses across Telangana, the state government has partnered with Meta to transform MeeSeva centres into digital advertising hubs. This initiative will enable businesses to access affordable digital marketing services, bridging the gap in their online presence.
As part of this collaboration, over 150 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) from the Core Urban Region (CURE) in Hyderabad were trained by the Electronic Service Delivery (ESD)-MeeSeva on creating and promoting advertisements on Meta platforms. The training covered essential aspects of digital advertising, including the preparation of advertisement creatives, promotional content, audience targeting, and digital campaign management.
According to ESD (MeeSeva) Commissioner T. Ravi Kiran, this initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs through technology. By combining Meta’s digital advertising expertise with MeeSeva’s network across Telangana, the collaboration aims to make professional digital marketing accessible to small and rural businesses that previously had limited access to such services.
The initiative is expected to provide an additional source of income for MeeSeva VLEs by enabling them to offer digital advertising as a value-added service. Businesses ranging from Kirana stores, restaurants, and pharmacies to start-ups, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and larger firms can approach their nearest MeeSeva centre to create advertisements and promote their products and services on Meta platforms.
MeeSeva operators will assist businesses in designing advertisement creatives, identifying target audiences, and publishing digital campaigns to improve visibility and customer outreach. This initiative expands the role of MeeSeva centres beyond citizen service delivery by supporting entrepreneurship, strengthening small businesses, creating additional livelihood opportunities for Village Level Entrepreneurs, and contributing to the state’s digital economy.
