ANTB captivates Jaipur audience at OCTAVE 2026

Alobo Naga & The Band (ANTB) from Nagaland delivered a high‑energy performance on the concluding evening of OCTAVE 2026 at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur on October 4. The band’s set filled the auditorium with a blend of rock, pop and traditional sounds, capturing the attention of a diverse audience.

The four‑day festival highlighted the cultural heritage and contemporary expressions of Northeast India through music, dance, folk traditions and performing arts. Artists from across the region showcased their talents, offering audiences in Rajasthan a chance to experience the rich cultural tapestry of the Northeast.

ANTB’s one‑hour performance mixed Hindi, Punjabi, English, Nagamese and local dialects. The set included original tracks such as “Wolo,” “Mistry Gaana” and “TGIF,” as well as popular covers of artists like KK, Anuv Jain, Badshah and Diljit Dosanjh. Audience participation was strong, with several spectators joining the band on stage near the end of the set. The group—comprising vocalist Alobo Naga, drummer David Sunar, bassist Fung Walling and guitarist Nash Longkumer—has built a reputation for fusing contemporary rock and pop with the sounds and languages of Nagaland.

The evening also featured the NCM Choir, directed by Lipokmar, performing “Jai Ho” and “Lakhon Hain Yahan Dilwale,” and later collaborating with ANTB. Traditional acts from Sikkim, Manipur and Assam were presented, and Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari praised India’s cultural diversity, noting that the Northeast represents a vibrant part of the nation’s heritage. She described OCTAVE as an embodiment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.” Diya Kumari congratulated Dr. Ashwin M. Dalvi, Director of the West Zone Cultural Centre in Udaipur, for organising the festival, and N.C. Goyal, Director of the Rajasthan International Centre, was also present. The festival served as a platform for Northeast artists to present their cultural and contemporary expressions, and for ANTB it marked their first appearance in Jaipur.
