The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leadership in the Udayagiri constituency expressed satisfaction after the successful staging of “Palle Panduga 3.0” at Ramapuram village in Varikuntapadu mandal. The event, held recently, showcased the party’s commitment to community development and public engagement.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has visited the constituency twice since the NDA government took office in 2024, and Ramapuram was chosen as the venue only nine days before the programme. TDP leaders, including Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, MLC Beedha Ravichandra, and Udayagiri MLA Kakarla Suresh, coordinated arrangements and mobilised residents from across the area. Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan also attended the event.
During the programme, development works worth ₹1,108.5 crore were announced, with ₹121 crore earmarked for the Udayagiri constituency. Projects include 115 kilometres of cement‑concrete and black‑topped roads, rejuvenation of 1,200 water ponds, construction of 348 mini Gokulams, over 190 water troughs, and horticulture development covering more than 900 acres.
Fluoride contamination remains a pressing issue in this drought‑prone region. MLA Kakarla Suresh said ₹52 crore will be allocated to 381 works aimed at addressing the problem in the mandals of Duttalur, Jaladanki, Sitaramapuram, Udayagiri, Varikuntapadu, Kaligiri, Kondapuram, and Vinjamur. He also announced plans to develop the Udayagiri Fort and surrounding hills as tourist attractions and thanked the government for selecting Udayagiri as the event venue.
