The Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has urged Chief Minister Lalduhoma to issue a public response to allegations made in the resignation letter of senior Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) leader Bualhranga.
Bualhranga, a founding member of the Val Upa Council (VUC) and a senior ZPM functionary, resigned from the council on 21 September. The VUC, established before the party assumed power, serves as an advisory body composed of experienced party members.
In his letter, Bualhranga raised four broad concerns: two related to the functioning of the government and two alleging corruption and misconduct involving the chief minister, including accusations concerning women. The MPCC highlighted that these issues are significant because they come from a high‑ranking ZPM member closely linked to the party and its administration.
The Congress party argues that the resignation has brought these matters into the public domain and that the CM’s failure to address them could damage Mizoram’s image. It demands that Lalduhoma clarify his position and respond to the allegations before the people of Mizoram.
