Eligible NEET‑UG 2026 candidates now have a brief window to apply for five Society Seats in the MBBS programme at Helen Lepcha Sikkim Government Medical College (HLSGMC) in Gangtok for the 2026‑27 academic session.
The Government of Sikkim opened the online application portal on 23 September 2026, and applicants must submit their forms by 30 September 2026 at noon. Only five seats are available, so candidates are urged to complete the process before the deadline. Applicants can access the portal through the official website, where they will find step‑by‑step instructions.
HLSGMC is the state’s first government medical college, established through a partnership between the Government of India and the Government of Sikkim. It was created to broaden access to affordable, high‑quality medical education and to strengthen healthcare services across the Northeast. The college is named after Helen Lepcha, a celebrated freedom fighter born in 1902 in Sangmoo, South Sikkim, and it aims to continue her legacy of service and compassion.
Applications are open for NEET‑UG 2026 qualifiers. Interested students can find further information on the application procedure and admission details at hlsgmc.sikkim.gov.in.
