Intermittent power shutdowns are expected to continue in Dimapur as the Power Department undertakes ongoing works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS-LR). The electrical division Dimapur has informed consumers that the shutdowns of feeders and lines will be necessary to facilitate the improvement of the power supply system.
According to Lhuvoyi, Executive Engineer of the electrical division Dimapur, the works involve re-conductoring of existing lines, installation of new lines, and distribution transformers. These upgrades aim to enhance the overall power supply system in the area.
The Power Department has requested consumers to bear with the temporary inconvenience caused by the shutdowns, which will be carried out in areas where work is being undertaken. The exercise is expected to continue until the completion of all works under the RDSS-LR scheme.
