Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh chaired a significant meeting to assess and strengthen the state’s security. The Combined Headquarters (Unified Command) security meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal, reviewed the prevailing law and order situation across the state. The meeting also focused on the security scenario along the National Highways of the State.
The Chief Minister was joined by top officials, including Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, Chief Secretary of Manipur; Kuldiep Singh, Advisor (Security) Government of Manipur; and Mukesh Singh, Director General of Police (DGP), Manipur. Major General Gaurav Sharma, IGAR (South); Major General Subhankar Basu, GOC 57 Mountain Division; and Shri Rajendra Narayan Dash, IG, CRPF (M&N Sector) also attended the high-level meeting. Senior representatives from central paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies were present as well.
Following the Unified Command meeting, the Chief Minister chaired another high-level meeting with the same top security officials and representatives of transporters. They discussed the resumption of the Imphal-Guwahati and Imphal-Dimapur bus services. The resumption of these bus services was jointly declared by the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, and Saitu Assembly Constituency MLA Haokholet Kipgen on the 8th of this month from Kangpokpi District Headquarter.
