Tourism Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona recently reviewed ongoing development projects in Shi-Yomi district, assessing the delivery of public services in the area. During his visit, Minister Sona held a meeting with department heads in Tato, where they discussed various sectors including education, healthcare, rural development, and road connectivity.
The meeting also covered power supply, drinking water, agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, urban development, hydropower, policing, and civil supplies. According to Minister Sona, the discussions focused on identifying operational bottlenecks, enhancing inter-departmental coordination, and ensuring timely implementation of flagship government welfare programmes.
Key recent advancements in the education sector were also highlighted during the meeting, including academic outcomes, ongoing infrastructure development, and strategic roadmaps to strengthen human capital across the region. Minister Sona urged officials to maintain the momentum, calling on all administrative departments to adopt a proactive, accountable, and result-oriented approach.
Minister Sona emphasized that public welfare must remain the top priority, stating that the collective commitment must be to ensure that every development initiative translates into tangible benefits at the grassroots level for the people of Shi-Yomi. This commitment is in line with the state government’s focus on last-mile delivery.
