In a social media post, Khandu praised the multi-agency rescue and relief efforts being carried out across the inundated regions, acknowledging the tireless work of the NDRF, SDRF, armed forces, police personnel, volunteers, and everyone involved in the operations. He also extended his support to the victims, wishing them strength, safety, and hope.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority’s daily flood report, more than 7,05,100 people have been affected in nine districts, including Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Hojai, Jorhat, Karbi Anglong, Nagaon, and Sivasagar.
