The Election Commission of India has published the draft electoral rolls for Arunachal Pradesh, following the enumeration phase of the special intensive revision. The draft rolls have removed 169,459 names from the voter lists, resulting in a total of 7,18,046 voters in the state.
According to State Chief Electoral Officer Pawan Kumar Sain, 7,18,046 (80.91%) of the 8,87,505 registered electors actively participated in the enumeration process by submitting their forms by 14 July. The enumeration exercise was conducted from 15 June to 14 July, and all submitted forms have been digitised.
The CEO’s office reported that the 169,459 uncollectable enumeration forms include 25,573 deaths, 54,678 untraceable or absent individuals, 78,980 permanently shifted individuals, 4,947 already enrolled individuals, and 5,281 others. Genuine electors who were missed during the enumeration phase can still be added to the electoral rolls.
The window for filing claims and objections will remain open from 21 July to 20 August. The Election Commission has encouraged young citizens who have attained or will attain 18 years of age on or before 1 July, 2026, to enrol using Form-6 along with a declaration form. Special help desks and camps have been set up across the state to assist senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable groups.
For new enrolments, corrections, or deletions, citizens must submit the relevant forms online or through their designated Booth Level Officers (BLOs). The final electoral roll will be published on 22 September. The draft electoral roll is available with the CEO, DEOs, EROs, AEROs, and local BLOs, and can also be accessed online at https://ceoarunachal.nic.in, voters.eci.gov.in, or via the ECINET mobile app.
