On October 8, Advisor Achumbemo Kikon of SCERT & Food Processing inaugurated a newly constructed road linking the Community Health Centre in Bhandari to the general cemetery. The project, carried out by the Department of Urban Development, is located in Bhandari, Wokha.
During the ceremony, Kikon expressed satisfaction with the road’s completion and highlighted its importance for public access to the cemetery during times of bereavement. He urged residents to cooperate in maintaining and preserving public infrastructure and called for collective responsibility toward peace, unity and progress.
The advisor also reviewed other developmental works completed in the area, including the construction of a road to the SDEO office, a culvert at Tchupokhen Colony, and a culvert‑cum‑road at Zuvotung and Meri Colony.
ADC Bhandari Longasen Lotha thanked Kikon for his initiatives and requested continued efforts to improve basic infrastructure in Bhandari Sub‑division. Short speeches were delivered by B. Longshi Odyuo, Head GB, Bhandari, and Orenthung Kikon, GB, Medical Colony. The program was chaired by Khonthungo Odyuo, Chairman BTC; the dedication prayer was pronounced by Zujanthung Yanthan, pastor BTBC; and the vote of thanks was delivered by David K. Lotha, Councillor BTC.
