On October 5, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, in partnership with ConveGenius, convened a partner meeting in Kohima to discuss integration with the Nagaland Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK). The event gathered organisations across the state’s education sector, aiming to foster a coordinated, data‑driven ecosystem.
The meeting sought to replace fragmented initiatives with greater collaboration, data sharing and technology‑enabled governance. The VSK is being developed as a central hub for education data, offering a single source of information where contributions from different organisations can be captured and made visible.
Participants were introduced to the VSK’s 6A framework—Attendance, Adaptive Learning, Assessment, Administration, Accreditation and Artificial Intelligence. Aligning data with this framework would allow contributions to be reflected at the national level through the Rashtriya Vidya Samiksha Kendra (RVSK), connecting Nagaland to the national education data architecture. In his keynote, L. Jamithung Lotha, IAS, State Mission Director of Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, highlighted that many interventions are implemented in silos, leading to duplication and inefficient resource use, and that forums like this meet raise awareness and encourage collaboration.
Representatives from organisations such as NagaEd, Elevate Foundation, Vibha India, Antarang Foundation, Lend A Hand India, Mantra for Change, Key Education Foundation, NECTAR, NITI, Shiksha Lokam, Saturday Art Class, IPE Global, Luminous Infoways, Probit Plus, and others, along with officials from Samagra Shiksha, the Directorate of School Education, SCERT and NBSE, discussed ways to connect datasets, APIs, dashboards and technology solutions with the platform. They agreed on a phased approach to data integration, emphasizing reduced duplication, common reporting frameworks and improved interoperability, and committed to working with the state government to enhance education quality through data, technology and collaboration.
