Bharti Airtel announced on Wednesday the launch of new postpaid plans that will see tariff increases of about 3‑10 percent, effective from Thursday. The company also added a complimentary international roaming benefit, offering 5 GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS for five days.
The revised plans range from Rs 499 a month for an individual connection to Rs 1,799 for a family plan covering up to five SIM cards. The five‑SIM plan includes a Netflix Standard subscription. Other price points include Rs 1,049 for three SIMs, Rs 1,249 for four SIMs, and Rs 1,449 for four SIMs, while the two‑SIM family plan is now Rs 749, up from Rs 699.
Amit Tripathi, Director of Market Operations, said the company is focused on delivering a best‑in‑class experience. He highlighted Airtel’s Fast Lane 5G technology, continuous spam and fraud protection, and the added value of entertainment and services, including the new free international roaming.
Customers on existing Airtel postpaid or prepaid plans can upgrade to the new packages. The changes are available to all Airtel postpaid subscribers, with the company emphasizing that each SIM will receive one free international roaming trip per year, along with unlimited data and calling under the new plans.
