On October 1, a new daily market, Daily Needs Bazar, was inaugurated at the CMC Agri Expo in Chumoukedima. Deputy Director of the State Agri Expo, Myanthung Patton, presided over the ceremony.
Music Director of Unity Village Sumi Baptist Church, Nitoka Hesso, opened the market with a prayer, adding a spiritual note to the launch.
The bazar is situated next to the Agri Expo gate and contains 66 kiosks or cubicle shops. It will operate every day from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering a range of everyday items, including groceries and clothing.
At the same time, the Market Management Team announced a ten‑day Food Fest that will run from October 1 to 10, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each evening. The festival will showcase fast food, Naga traditional dishes, biryani, Indian and Chinese cuisine, barbecue, seafood, Korean street food, desserts, ice cream, tea, coffee, fresh juices, mocktails and other beverages.
Organisers invite the public to visit the market and enjoy the Food Fest during the ten‑day event.
