On October 2, the Mokokchung Town Gorkha Baptist Church (MTGBC) organized a cleanliness drive that stretched from Tongdentsuyong Ward to the Imkongmeren Sports Complex. The initiative was part of the church’s preparations for its Golden Jubilee Celebration scheduled for December 2027 and aimed to promote cleanliness, civic responsibility, and community participation.
Church members and volunteers worked along the designated route, actively removing litter from roadside and surrounding areas. The programme reflected MTGBC’s commitment to contributing toward the cleanliness and well‑being of the local community, while also encouraging collective responsibility and greater awareness of maintaining a healthy environment.
MTGBC expressed appreciation to the MMC and all members and volunteers who supported and participated in the initiative, contributing their time and effort to make the programme successful. The church stated that it looks forward to continuing similar community‑oriented activities as part of its journey toward the Golden Jubilee Celebration in December 2027.
