India and Poland held a joint working group meeting in New Delhi on 28 September 2026, where Secretary of Defence Production Sanjeev Kumar and Poland’s Secretary of State and Deputy Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak‑Czarnecka co‑chaired the session. The discussion centered on operationalising the 2024‑2028 Joint Action Plan and on further strengthening institutional, defence and defence‑industrial cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, on 4 September, India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski in Warsaw. The pair reviewed the progress of the Joint Action Plan, highlighting areas such as trade and investment, space, digital technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, defence, education, shipping, mining, energy, people‑to‑people exchanges, culture and multilateral cooperation.
Jaishankar praised Poland’s support for deeper India‑EU cooperation and expressed confidence that the forthcoming free‑trade agreement would further deepen bilateral ties. He also addressed global challenges, including supply‑chain resilience and security of food, fuel and fertiliser supplies, and called for an end to endless war.
During his visit, Jaishankar addressed Polish President Karol Nawrocki in Warsaw, discussing the positive trajectory of the India‑Poland Strategic Partnership. He exchanged views on the Ukraine conflict, the Middle East and West Asia, the International Maritime Economic Cooperation (IMEC) and the G20, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration.
