The Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) has secured admission for Beti Wallong, a para table tennis athlete from the Puroik community in East Kameng district, into a private school in Itanagar. The move is intended to allow Wallong to pursue her education while continuing her sports training.
Wallong, who is an orphan, has shown exceptional talent, determination, and potential in her sport. Recognising her abilities, the PAA has taken responsibility for her future by facilitating her enrollment in the school.
The association will cover all educational and training costs for Wallong, ensuring that financial or social obstacles do not hinder her development as a para athlete. This support demonstrates the PAA’s commitment to empowering talented athletes and providing them with the resources needed to succeed.
The PAA expressed gratitude to its chairman, Takam Pario, for his unwavering support, visionary leadership, and continued dedication to the welfare, education, and development of para athletes across the state.
