The All India Football Federation (AIFF) D Licence Course concluded in Wokha on Saturday after a six‑day residential programme that ran from September 14 to 19. The event, organised by the Wokha District Football Association (WDFA), brought together 23 aspiring coaches who completed a curriculum designed to meet AIFF coaching standards.
The course was led by Vikash Panthi, an AIFF coach educator and holder of the prestigious AIFF A Licence. Under his guidance, participants received foundational knowledge and practical coaching skills. Practical training sessions were conducted at ArenaX Turf and Public Ground, while theory lessons took place in the VDB Hall.
On the final day, the trainees applied their newly learned techniques in a grassroots football match featuring local young players. The session was followed by the course’s theory final examination, allowing participants to demonstrate their understanding of coaching principles.
WDFA officials expressed satisfaction with the smooth execution of the programme and thanked the AIFF and Vikash Panthi for their support in enhancing coaching capacity within the district.
