The Haryana AAP unit has accused the state’s BJP government of allowing a surge in drug use, crime and corruption, saying the problems have spread to every city in the state. State unit chief Sushil Gupta told reporters that the BJP’s lax attitude and administrative negligence have enabled the illegal trade of synthetic drugs, heroin, cannabis and banned pharmaceutical drugs to flourish openly across Haryana.

Gupta cited a recent police raid in Gurugram’s Sohna that uncovered illegal stocking and sale of medicines containing narcotic and psychotropic substances. He warned that many youths have died from drug overdoses, but the government has not acknowledged the severity of the crisis. The leader also questioned Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini about the state’s law‑and‑order situation, citing daily reports of murders, extortion threats and gangster activity.

The AAP spokesperson argued that rising unemployment has driven young people toward crime and drugs, and that corruption pervades many sectors. He urged the Saini government to take strict action against the drug mafia and corrupt officials, or else he said the party would mobilise citizens across the state in a drug‑free campaign.

Gupta praised Punjab’s ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ campaign, noting that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government has demolished drug smugglers’ homes and dismantled networks. He criticised the BJP for claiming that Punjab’s drug problem worsened under AAP rule, insisting that the party’s own record in Punjab shows otherwise.
