The grand finale of Battle of Minds 3.0, a state‑level youth quiz competition run by the Department of Youth Affairs of Arunachal Pradesh, is scheduled for September 20 at DK Hall in Itanagar.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu will attend the event as the chief guest. The competition aims to foster knowledge, critical thinking, stage confidence, decision‑making and the ability to perform under pressure among young students, encouraging learning beyond the classroom.
This year’s edition attracted 1,170 participants across the state, a marked increase from 686 in Battle of Minds 2.0 (2025) and 106 in the inaugural edition. The rise in numbers reflects growing interest in the state‑wide quiz format.
Four teams have qualified for the final after progressing through the various stages. Global Valley School’s Rigainlu Kri and Shayon Ghosh (Roing) and Ramakrishna Mission School’s Castro Meme and Jumnam Rallen (Narottam Nagar) each scored 130 points, topping the qualifiers. PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya’s Marpin Bagra and Gobin Daw (Aalo) secured 120 points, while Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya’s Niton Kadu and Basar Megu (Oyan) finished with 110 points.
The finalists will compete for the championship title on September 20. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tafrogam, won the second edition in 2025, and the Nirjuli branch took the inaugural title. The event’s growing participation underscores the competition’s expanding influence across the state’s youth community.
