The 9th Biennial Interschool Football Tournament, hosted by the Medziphema Town Students’ Union, has reached the final stage after decisive semi‑final results in the High School section.
In a rain‑affected match, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) defeated Chakhroma Baptist Mission School 3‑0. The goals were scored by Rokovizo, who netted twice in the 17th and 45th minutes, and by Viselie in the 19th minute. The win secured GHSS a place in the final against SFS Higher Secondary School.
SFS Higher Secondary School faced Modern Christian School in the other semi‑final, winning 1‑0 thanks to a 17th‑minute goal by Chontinngam. Despite several opportunities, neither side converted additional chances, leaving SFS to advance.
The matches were attended by deputy ranger Visakholie Kuotsu and Ketholezo Makritsu, proprietor of K. Makritsu Enterprise, who served as match patrons, adding prestige to the event.
The tournament’s climax will feature the same finalists in both sections: Government Higher Secondary School versus SFS Higher Secondary School on Monday, with the High School and Higher Secondary finals scheduled for that day.
