ITANAGAR, 6 Aug – The Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) has secured admission for Beti Wallong, a para table tennis prospect from the Puroik community in East Kameng district, into a private school in Itanagar. The move aims to allow Wallong to pursue her education while continuing regular sports training.
Wallong, who is an orphan, has drawn attention for her exceptional talent, determination, and potential in para table tennis. Recognizing her abilities, the PAA has taken responsibility for her future by arranging her enrollment at the school, where she will receive quality education and access to structured training facilities.
The association will cover all educational and training expenses for Wallong, underscoring its commitment to empowering para athletes. By removing financial and social barriers, the PAA seeks to support athletes in achieving their dreams.
PAA chairman Takam Pario was thanked by the association for his unwavering support, visionary leadership, and ongoing commitment to the welfare, education, and development of para athletes across the state.
