On September 4, 2026, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Government of India, through the MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME DFO) in Dimapur, organized a one‑day Awareness Workshop on Branding and Marketing under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The event was held at the Women Welfare Organisation Conference Hall in Jalukie, Peren, and was conducted in partnership with the Department of Industries and Commerce and the District Industries Centre (DIC) in Peren.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the entrepreneurial capabilities of PM Vishwakarma artisans by providing practical knowledge and technical insights on product packaging, labelling, design, export development, artificial intelligence, and financial literacy. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of export readiness and opportunities for accessing international markets.
The first technical session on Product Packaging, Labelling and Design was delivered by Kimthailiu Panmei, founder of Crave Inn and Pink Blossoms Society, who emphasized how effective packaging enhances product value, marketability, and brand recall. The Export Development session was led by Namziulung Pamai, Functional Manager at DIC Peren, and covered export fundamentals. Talinaro Longchar, Lead District Manager at SBI Dimapur, discussed financial assistance, credit facilities, loan procedures, and social security schemes such as PMJBY and PMSSY.
A Business Development session by Kezhono Kennao, a Financial Analyst for the RAMP Scheme at DIC Peren, focused on integrated growth planning, sound financial management, and networking. The State Programme Management Unit (SPMU) of PM Vishwakarma conducted an interactive session on Artificial Intelligence and E‑commerce Onboarding, teaching AI prompt creation, product design ideation, digital marketing, and how to list products on e‑commerce platforms. Vivek Kumar from India Post Office, Dimapur, demonstrated QR code generation to improve digital visibility.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Nikhilendra Y, Assistant Director at MSME DFO Dimapur, who urged artisans to actively engage in government‑led capacity‑building initiatives and to showcase their work to enhance visibility and business prospects.
