NITI Nagaland has released details for the fourth edition of the Morung Scholarship Test, inviting schools, colleges, principals, parents and science students from across Nagaland as well as neighboring districts of Manipur and Assam. The announcement emphasizes broad participation to identify high‑performing students for academic support.
The test will be held on Saturdays throughout September and October 2026, offering multiple chances for candidates to qualify for cash awards of up to Rs 10,000 and scholarships covering up to 100 percent of fees for NEET and JEE preparation programmes. Eligibility extends to students in Class XI, Class XII and those repeating or dropping out, with a particular focus on aspirants targeting competitive examinations.
Awardees will be considered for financial assistance across NITI Academy initiatives, including dedicated tracks for NEET and JEE repeaters, intensive crash courses, and subject‑specific tuition in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Merit‑based selection will determine both cash prizes and scholarship allocations.
To maximize reach, participating schools and colleges may host the scholarship test on their premises. Successful candidates will be formally recognised at an award ceremony scheduled for December 2026 at the NITI Dimapur Centre.
NITI Nagaland highlighted that its repeater programmes will be delivered by faculty members who are IIT alumni, ensuring structured preparation, focused teaching, regular assessments and ongoing guidance aimed at improving competitive exam outcomes.
Principals and teachers have been urged to disseminate the information widely so that the maximum number of eligible students can benefit from the initiative.
