Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will conduct the annual performance review of 16 defence public sector undertakings (DPSUs) on September 1, focusing on the advancement of indigenous technologies, innovation and the expansion of defence exports, the ministry said.
The chief managing directors of seven DPSUs – Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, BEML and MIDHANI – are scheduled to present dividend cheques for the government’s equity shares for the financial year 2025‑26.
During the event, Singh will also launch four publications: “Aatmanirbhar DPSU – A journey of DPSUs towards Self‑Reliance”, “DISHA”, the “Modernisation Roadmap of HAL” and the “Indigenisation Roadmap of HAL”.
The ministry highlighted that DPSUs recorded a total turnover of Rs 1.29 lakh crore in FY 2025‑26, a 15.4 percent increase from the previous year. Cumulative profit after tax rose to Rs 23,136 crore, up 15.6 percent, while exports surged by 151.2 percent over FY 2024‑25.
In a statement on X, the ministry said a stronger, more self‑reliant defence sector is powering India’s journey toward technological leadership and global defence capabilities.
