The RPJ Swimming Competition 2.0 was successfully held at RPJ Arena, Ekranipathar, Dimapur, on Friday, in collaboration with Pool of Bethesda. The event brought together swimmers from various backgrounds to showcase their skills and compete in a healthy environment.
Special guest, Sashila Ozukum, proprietor of Hope Academy, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of family support in shaping successful athletes. She highlighted that many renowned sportspersons achieved success because their parents recognized their potential at an early age and encouraged them to pursue their passion. Ozukum also stressed that education should not be the sole measure of achievement and encouraged parents to recognize their children’s potential in sports and other fields.
Ozukum lauded the organizers for providing a platform to promote sporting talent and community engagement, and extended her best wishes to all participants. RPJ Arena proprietor Rongpangnichet Jamir delivered the host’s address, expressing gratitude to God for the successful conduct of the event. He stated that the primary objective of the competition was to provide swimmers with a platform to come together, showcase their abilities, and improve their skills through healthy competition.
The competition featured four categories: adult men and women; boys and girls aged nine years and below; and boys and girls in the 10-15 age group. With a focus on promoting sporting talent and community engagement, the RPJ Swimming Competition 2.0 provided a valuable platform for swimmers to showcase their skills and strive for excellence.
