Two brothers of slain Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, along with three employees of their eatery, have been placed under preventive arrest for allegedly serving liquor illegally at their establishment. The eatery, located within the jurisdiction of the Rau police station, is owned by Raja Raghuvanshi’s elder brothers, Sachin Raghuvanshi and Vipin Raghuvanshi. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Nidhi Saxena, the operators had not obtained a licence to serve alcohol, prompting the police to take action.
The siblings, along with three employees, were arrested as a precautionary measure under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). ACP Saxena stated that a case has been registered under the Excise Act for allegedly illegally serving liquor at the eatery. Additionally, a separate case has been registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Section 223 for the joint’s failure to provide information to the police.
This development comes after Raja Raghuvanshi was murdered in Meghalaya in 2025 during his honeymoon. His wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, was later arrested by the Meghalaya police, along with her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, and three alleged hired killers.
