Guwahati Royals registered a convincing eight-wicket win over Tezpur Titans in Match 15 of the Assam Premier League 2026 at the ACA Stadium on Saturday, chasing down 147 in just 12.5 overs to move to second place in the points table. Rohit Sen and Sanjay Kumar Singh set up the victory with explosive half-centuries, putting on 108 for the opening wicket. Sen smashed 65 off 30 balls, including three fours and four sixes, and reached his half-century off just 23 balls — the fastest fifty of the tournament so far.
Singh scored an unbeaten 65 off 39 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes. Earlier, Wasim Akram Haque’s 82 off 54 balls, featuring three fours and seven sixes, helped Tezpur post 146/8. He added 82 with Nihar Deka for the third wicket after Titans lost two early wickets.
However, Tezpur collapsed towards the end, losing their final five wickets for just 12 runs. Mrinmoy Dutta was the pick of the Royals’ bowlers with 3/27. Danish Ahmed and Abir Chakraborty eventually dismissed Sen and Singh, but the damage had already been done.
