Colleagues of Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) jawan Are Kiran, who died in a road accident, have come together to raise ₹5.20 lakh in financial assistance for his bereaved family. The funds were voluntarily contributed by officers and staff of the department. The financial aid was handed over to Kiran’s family by OSD V.B.
Kamalasan Reddy during a programme held at the ISW office in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Mr. Reddy expressed his condolences and described Kiran’s untimely death as an irreparable loss to the department. He assured the family that the police would continue to stand by them.
Mr. Reddy also announced that steps would be taken to expedite the release of Kiran’s service benefits and accident insurance claims, besides facilitating a compassionate appointment for an eligible family member in accordance with government rules. The programme was attended by several senior officials, including SP (Admin) G. Chakravarthy, Deployment SP Syed Basha, SP Srinivas, SP Ramchander Rao, along with Additional SPs and DSPs, who conveyed their condolences to Kiran’s family and assured them of the department’s support.
Mr. Reddy commended RI (Admin) Sridhar Reddy, Dinesh Reddy, K. Shravan Kumar, K. Suman and S.
Sagar for coordinating the fundraising initiative, while appreciating all personnel who contributed towards the financial assistance.
