The Telangana BJP plans to highlight the Congress government’s alleged failures and anti-people policies during the upcoming Graduate MLC and Municipal Corporation elections, according to party official spokesperson N.V. Subash. Speaking on Wednesday, Subash asserted that effective governance in Telangana can only be achieved under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Subash accused the Congress government of severely deceiving the people, who he claimed had already suffered during the 10-year rule of the BRS. Addressing a press conference at the party’s State office, Subash alleged that the Revanth Reddy government had failed to fulfill its election promises even after 30 months in power.
Subash specifically highlighted the plight of unemployed youth and students, who he claimed had been affected by the non-release of 14,000 crore in fee reimbursement dues, the absence of a job calendar, and colleges withholding certificates. This has caused hardship to nearly 22 lakh students and their parents, he claimed. He also criticized the government for describing students as ‘criminal waste’, which he termed extremely unfortunate.
Furthermore, Subash alleged that the government had failed to focus on the development of the State and Hyderabad. He claimed that the Chief Minister had turned Telangana into a ‘futureless city’. Subash also questioned the Chief Minister’s frequent foreign visits and challenged the government to release a White Paper detailing the investments brought into the State.
The BJP plans to take these issues to the public during the upcoming elections, in an effort to expose the Congress government’s alleged anti-people policies.
