A free health camp was organised by the RIWATCH Arogya Centre in Lower Dibang Valley district on Friday, providing medical treatment to numerous patients suffering from various ailments.
A team led by Medical Officer Dr Techi Yumyi treated 39 patients, mostly above 60 years of age, who were diagnosed with chronic high blood pressure, arthritis, and gastric ailments. The patients received free medical consultation, health check-ups, and Ayurvedic medicines.
The health camp aimed to reach communities with limited access to regular healthcare services, while also promoting awareness about the benefits of panchakarma therapy as a safe and effective system of traditional healing. Dr Yumyi interacted with the villagers, explaining the benefits of panchakarma therapy in preventive healthcare, pain management, and overall wellbeing.
Dr Yumyi encouraged patients to consider panchakarma treatment, assuring them of its effectiveness and freedom from side effects. Additionally, patients were counselled on adopting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a proper, balanced diet as part of long-term wellness.
The health camp was part of the centre’s ongoing outreach initiative to extend quality healthcare and Ayurvedic wellness services to remote and underserved communities of the district.
