A violent dispute between a former tenant and his landlord turned deadly in Nagpur’s Amarnagar area on Tuesday, leaving one woman dead and a couple seriously injured. The alleged attacker, 30-year-old Roshan Neelkanth Taral, had been harboring a grudge against his former landlord, Dharmpal Dahat, after being asked to vacate a rented room due to complaints about his behavior. According to police, Taral entered the house around 9:40 am on Tuesday and launched a brutal attack on Dahat, injuring his hand.

When Dahat’s wife, Vanita, attempted to intervene, she was also attacked. A third victim, Sangeeta Chaudhary, who was present at the house, tried to stop Taral but suffered a fatal injury. Sangeeta was pronounced dead at the scene, while Dharmpal and Vanita were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Following the attack, Taral barricaded himself inside the house, prompting police to break down the door and take him into custody. The MIDC police station has launched an investigation into the incident, with further details expected to emerge in the coming days.
