The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier, is set to launch the Spandan League 2026, a sports initiative aimed at promoting grassroots sports and encouraging youth participation in Meghalaya. The league is being organised under the Khelo India initiative, which seeks to strengthen community engagement through sporting activities. The Spandan League 2026 will be conducted by BSF battalions at various venues across West Garo Hills and East Khasi Hills.
The league will provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, discipline, teamwork, and sporting abilities. Competitions will be held in football, volleyball, and basketball, with players and teams from different parts of Meghalaya and local communities expected to participate. The tournament is designed to nurture emerging talent by offering athletes the opportunity to compete in a structured and competitive environment.
To generate interest in the league, the BSF Meghalaya Frontier will roll out a promotional campaign across its social media platforms. The campaign will include the official announcement of the league, the unveiling of its logo and theme, venue updates, and match-related promotional content.
