A wall collapse incident occurred at Surya Residency Row House in Sector 1, Koparkhairane area of Navi Mumbai on Saturday, according to an official from the Disaster Management Cell of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC). The entire wall, balcony window, and protective grill of a second-floor flat in the two-storied row house collapsed, but fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. The living room wall, along with the adjoining balcony window and grill structure, suddenly gave way and collapsed to the ground.
Following the incident, civic authorities took immediate action and instructed occupants of all three residential units in the structure to evacuate the premises immediately. The area is receiving heavy rains for the last few days.
