Greenwood Higher Secondary School has emerged as the champion of the State-Level Pre-Subroto Tournament for Under-17 boys, which was held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima on July 23. The tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports in collaboration with the Nagaland Football Association, concluded with a closely contested final match between Greenwood HSS and King David Higher Secondary School. Greenwood HSS secured a 2-0 victory, with Zhouviku Lam and Lidikhum scoring a goal each.
Despite their efforts, King David HSS failed to convert their chances into goals. The closing ceremony of the tournament was attended by MLA and NFA general secretary Benei M. Lamthiu, who presented trophies and prizes to the winners.
