The Upper Subansiri deputy commissioner’s office has begun its relocation to a new secretariat building in Daporijo, with the deputy commissioner and other officers starting work from the new premises on Wednesday. The shifting of other branches and sections of the office is currently underway and is expected to continue in the coming days. The district administration has confirmed that while the deputy commissioner and other officers have started functioning from the new building, the relocation of branches and office records is still in progress.
The relocation process will be carried out in a phased manner, with other district offices and departments also set to be moved to the new building in the near future. The district administration has appealed to the public to cooperate during the relocation process. Once the relocation is complete, the new secretariat building is expected to serve as a centralized administrative hub, enhancing efficiency, accessibility, and the overall delivery of government services.
