The inaugural Arunachal Women’s League 2026 kicked off on Wednesday at the Golden Jubilee Outdoor Stadium in Yupia, marking a significant milestone in the promotion of women’s football in Arunachal Pradesh.
The opening match saw Monyul FC secure a convincing 6-0 victory over Kamle DFA, setting the tone for a competitive and exciting tournament. The league, organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA), aims to provide a platform for talented female footballers from across the state to showcase their skills and compete at a higher level.
According to the APFA, the league is a crucial step towards promoting women’s football in Arunachal Pradesh and inspiring the next generation of female footballers.
