Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Prof Shivaraj, held an interactive session with the non-teaching employees of the university at Rono Hills on Monday. The programme aimed to facilitate open dialogue between the VC and the administrative and supporting staff, enabling them to share their views and expectations. This platform allowed the VC to outline his vision for strengthening institutional governance, work culture, and collective growth.
During his address, Prof Shivaraj stressed the importance of professionalism, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and innovation in achieving institutional excellence. He encouraged all employees to contribute towards transforming RGU into a nationally recognised centre of academic and administrative excellence. The Registrar, Dr NT Rikam, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fostering a transparent, efficient, and employee-friendly administrative environment.
Other key officials, including Prof SK Nayak, Finance Officer Prof Otem Padung, and Controller of Examinations Dr Bijay Raji, also delivered brief addresses, highlighting the significance of coordinated administrative efforts in achieving the university’s objectives. The interaction was attended by various key officers and officials, including RGU Librarian Dr SK Jena, Joint Registrar (Examinations & Project) Dr David Pertin, and Deputy Registrar (Administration) Solung Sonam, among others. RGUEA president Nich Bapu and Deputy Registrar (Administration) Solung Sonam shared their views and expectations during the interaction, which was part of the university’s efforts to promote open communication and collective growth.
