The Department of Tourism in Nagaland is set to host the state’s only officially licensed public screenings of the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals and final at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama. This unique viewing experience is designed to provide football fans with a stadium-like atmosphere, complete with live music performances, interactive fan activities, food stalls, and prize giveaways.
The screenings will take place on July 15, 16, and 20, with gates opening at 9 pm, live performances beginning at 10 pm, and kick-off at 12:30 am. The Department of Tourism has secured the exclusive legal rights for public screening from Zee Entertainment, the official rights holder for FIFA World Cup public screenings in India. Notably, Nagaland and Meghalaya are the only two states in the Northeast to have obtained the official licence for the event.
Local artistes will perform ahead of kick-off each night, including Moko Koza, who will headline the entertainment on the final night, and Sentiein Kichu, who will perform during both the semi-finals and the final. Fans can also participate in penalty shootout challenges, raffle draws, and online match prediction contests throughout the tournament, with a total of 24 premium gift hampers worth more than Rs. 10,000 each to be distributed from the quarter-finals through the final.
Tickets have been categorised into Gold and Silver, with Gold tickets priced at Rs. 3,000 and limited to 150 seats, while Silver tickets are priced at Rs. 200. Students producing valid identity cards will be eligible for concessional Silver tickets. Tickets are available at various locations, including One Bit, Equipment & Sports, Kisama House, Rhododendron Resort, D Café, the Directorate of Tourism, and also at the venue.
To ensure the safety and smooth management of the venue, fire safety personnel, a first aid booth, police personnel, and volunteers from the Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) will be deployed during the event. A full-scale dry run was conducted on Monday to test the giant screen, audio-visual systems, lighting, seating arrangements, and other event logistics, ensuring everything was in place before the gates open at 9 pm on Tuesday for the first semi-final.
