Kimberly Guilfoyle, the United States ambassador to Greece, was recorded expressing anger after learning she was not invited to a dinner hosted by the Trump family at Greek House Davos. The audio, released by The Wall Street Journal, shows Guilfoyle venting about the snub and using profanity, suggesting she should be receiving favors from the event’s organizer.
In the recording, Guilfoyle also claimed to have leveraged her connections with wealthy Greek businessmen who had financed her travel to Davos. She said she persuaded an American businessman to help secure her an invitation, promising that she could “deliver the world” and “make a lot of money” for those who assisted her.
Despite her efforts, Guilfoyle ultimately entered the dinner but left early. Organizers reported that the situation caused a minor crisis among several high‑profile guests. Chairwoman Irene Vantaraki said the event had to be managed carefully and that some attendees were disappointed.
The report follows other allegations that Guilfoyle sought $100,000 from MAGA donor Eric Deters to pay an American Express bill, offering to have the Trump administration investigate Deters’ tax and legal matters in return. Deters’ lawyer denied the authenticity of the messages. President Trump said he was unaware of the claims and described Guilfoyle as “very nice.” The State Department’s Office of the Inspector General is investigating whether she received gifts or favors from private businessmen during her ambassadorship.
