Home Minister Priyank Kharge inaugurated a ₹41.5‑crore residential complex for 128 police constables near Anand Rao Circle on Thursday.

During the ceremony, Mr. Kharge said that providing police personnel with decent housing and a conducive environment for their families is the government’s responsibility, given the risks they undertake while protecting society.

The complex, built under the Police Gruha 2025 scheme, consists of two residential blocks, each containing 64 units. Every block has a stilt floor, a ground floor and seven upper floors, covering a total built‑up area of 11,944.30 sq. m. Each 620.31‑sq‑ft unit includes a living room, dining area, two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom‑cum‑toilet and utility area.

Additional facilities include lifts, parking, a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, rainwater harvesting and solar water‑heating systems. Internal roads, storm‑water drains, landscaping, water supply and sewage networks have also been developed. Attendees at the inauguration included Gandhinagar MLA and former minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, Lok Sabha MP P.C. Mohan, Director General and Inspector General of Police M.A. Saleem, and Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh.
