The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation has rolled out its Namma BMTC 2.0 mobile application for iOS, allowing iPhone users to use digital public transport services in the city.
The app, which first launched on Android, lets passengers buy BMTC tickets and bus passes, track buses live, plan journeys, and make digital payments. It also links BMTC and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation services, enabling integrated ticketing for both bus and metro travel.
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar unveiled the app at a recent event celebrating 100 days of the Congress government in Karnataka. The release emphasised the platform’s role in making public transport more convenient, connected and cashless.
Passengers can now download Namma BMTC 2.0 from the Apple App Store and use its digital ticketing, tracking and planning features. BMTC urges the public to adopt the app to streamline their travel experience across Bangalore’s bus and metro networks.
