The Jharkhand government has released a list of 44 recruitment exams that have been cancelled due to irregularities. This move comes amid ongoing student protests over the issue. In a series of notifications issued late on Tuesday night, the government announced the cancellation of exams conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and outsourced agency TSR Data Processing Pvt Ltd (TDPL) since 2014.
The cancelled exams include recruitment for various positions such as drug inspectors, assistant professors, deputy collectors, dental doctors, assistant engineers, civil judges, additional public prosecutors, and forest range officers, among others. The state government’s decision follows a cabinet meeting on Monday, where it was announced that the JSSC-Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination would be cancelled, meeting one of the key demands of protesting students. Additionally, all examinations conducted by outsourced agency TDPL and the results published by it have also been cancelled.
The student protests in Jharkhand have been ongoing, with demands for the cancellation of the JSSC-CGL examination and other exams marred by irregularities.
